Washburn Elementary School welcomes back its students for the 2022-23 school year for what is sure to be a great one. We hope our teachers, students, and families all had safe and fun summer breaks. We are all ready now to get back into the swing of things.
I am Erik Gray and I have proudly accepted the position of interim Principal of Washburn Elementary School. It is a great honor to serve as the leader of this great school. I have been an Auburn educator since 2006 spending most of my time as a teacher and assistant principal at Edward Little High School. I am incredibly excited to work with the students and families of our school, as well as the passionate and dedicated staff members who work here.

The purpose of this webpage is to provide the parents of our school and community with easy access to information on our Washburn School programs, policies, and activities. Our intent is to keep our parents well informed and our hope is that this site becomes a useful tool for all of us to help us stay connected and up to date.
Washburn is an amazing learning community and our teachers are committed to providing engaging learning experiences for students that fit the needs of each child. We encourage parents to visit our school during scheduled open houses, literacy nights, and to attend student performances to celebrate the hard work of our students.
