Welcome to Washburn Elementary!

Every child walks through our doors with their own set of strengths, curiosity, and ways of learning. My job, and the goal of our entire staff, is to create a school experience that challenges our students while giving them the steady support they need to thrive. That means going beyond just meeting academic expectations and also to help kids grow socially, emotionally, and creatively. Whether it’s picking up a new hobby, tackling a tough math concept, or learning how to lead, we want every student at Washburn to build real confidence in who they are.

A strong connection between home and school makes all the difference. We place a huge emphasis on clear, honest communication, so expect regular updates on what’s happening in our classrooms, upcoming events, and wins worth celebrating. We also hope to see you at our Open House, parent-teacher conferences, and community events throughout the year. Your voice and involvement matter here.

I’m genuinely excited for everything this school year has in store for our kids and our community. Washburn is a place where every single student is valued, encouraged, and cheered on as they reach for new goals.
